The pairwise dependence in a triple $(X,Y,R)$ of networkscharacteristics denoting the inter-arrival times between packets,the packet length and the rate of transmission in peer-to-peerIPTV is detected and modelled. The three quantities are related by$R=Y/X$. We argue that the inter-arrival time and the packetlength are dependent, the rate and the inter-arrival time as wellas the rate and the packet length are weak dependent randomvariables. The Pickand's function and empirical copula are used asmeasures of dependence.
