Аннотация
We investigate the traffic characteristics arising from the IPTV streaming serviceSopCast realized by means of a peer-to-peer overlay network. We perform a careful measurementstudy in a typical home environment and analyze the gathered traces to determine the structureof the P2PTV application, the employed protocol stack and its related message ows. Our dataanalysis illustrates the features of the dissemination approach, partly validates former endings andprovides new teletraffic models of the applied transport service.
